Jeff Booth – President & CEO; Co-founder

Jeff has taken BuildDirect from idea to articulated vision and on to commercial success for the long term. He co-founded the company in 1999.

Jeff’s professional business background includes seven years senior management in the real estate and construction industries. In 2005-06 he held a seat on the Conference Board of Canada’s Roundtable on Innovation.

While at the helm of BuildDirect, Jeff is also an active member of the international Young Presidents’ Organization, and is a frequent speaker to industry groups throughout North America. Jeff also makes time to lecture in business courses at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada.

Rob Banks of BuildDirectRobert Banks - Executive Vice President, Sales;Co-Founder

Rob utilized his 11 years of experience in senior management and his passion for finance and business development to successfully co-found BuildDirect.

From 1989 to 1996, he was a financial consultant and co-managed a multi-million dollar investment portfolio within a major Canadian financial institution. During 1997 and 1998, he co-founded and was Vice President Responsible for Strategic Planning and Marketing of an American environmental product company.

He also has experience on a not-for-profit board of directors. Rob has solidified BuildDirect’s relationships with suppliers in multiple product lines, negotiating pricing, quality, and sales agreements on products now dominant in their market segments.

Rob is dedicated to continually building upon the company’s long term vision for innovation and success. He is a proud husband and dad.

John Sotham of BuildDirect

John Sotham – Vice President, Finance

John joined us at BuildDirect after four years of public accounting experience with KPMG as Senior Accountant in Assurance services. He brings an extensive background in audit, taxation, and business advisory services.

Prior to joining KPMG, and earning his C.A. designation and Diploma of Technology in Operations Management., John worked in the environmental technology industry with Microsep International, a subsidiary of Atkinson Construction, a high-tech, manufacturing, and resource-based organization.

During his four year tenure with Microsep, John advanced to the role of US Sales Manager where he was responsible for developing Microsep’s US sales infrastructure, and assessing joint venture operations with key business partners.

John’s extensive background and dedication is an asset to the creation BuildDirect’s long-term strategy for success.

Dan Brodie of BuildDirect

Dan Brodie – Director of Information Technology

Dan joined us at BuildDirect after 10 years of service at one of Canada’s major financial institutions.

His passion for information technology, business reporting, and project management make him a central figure in the long-term goals of the company.

Before joining us, Dan advanced through the areas of corporate taxation, shareholder reporting, management reporting, and compliance and accounting control. He was also contracted to assist in the development of motive power curriculum at the college level for the Province of Ontario.

Dan is a graduate of a major Canadian Technology Institute as well as the Canadian Securities Institute.
