One of the UK’s leading consumer brands, around 70% of UK adults regularly play The National Lottery, over 4 million people win prizes every week and annual sales are over £5 billion. In the last 15 years, The National Lottery has created over 2,400 millionaires and raised more than £24 billion for Good Causes – that’s around £25 million each and every week.

The National Lottery is contributing £2.2 billion towards staging the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games – the largest sum from a single organisation and the biggest ever lottery-funded project to date, which will leave a lasting sporting legacy for the entire UK.

Camelot’s marketing skills are matched by its expertise in project management and technological knowhow. As part of its third Licence bid commitment, Camelot had to roll out 27,500 new terminals, media screens and satellite dishes across its retailers – the largest, and fastest, lottery upgrade of its kind in the world, which took one million person hours and was completed within the agreed timescales.

As a responsible operator, Camelot is also charged with a duty of care to its players and winners, and with maintaining public trust and confidence in The National Lottery.

The Camelot model for running a lottery is now recognised as a world leader. Our plans for the future will build on the expertise we have developed over the past 15 years in delivering complex projects, online and interactive systems, secure transaction processing, marketing and partnering.

Over the next 10 years, Camelot aims to diversify its business even further – exporting the best of Britain to serve nations’ dreams across the globe, while maintaining a flourishing UK National Lottery at its heart.
