About Me

I have over 20 years of experience working in the field of computing, information and communications technologies and I have had exposure to a very extensive range of business applications and management information systems.

I started my IT career working in a production environment operating automated inspection systems, I have worked as a supply lecturer teaching a range of IT related subjects and I also worked freelance for a period providing services to a number of small to medium sized businesses. However the majority of my professional career has been in the management of technology in the context of a modern multi site office environment.

Managing a team of four IT Support Officers I am responsible for devising and implementing an IT strategy that results in a reliable and secure environment for my colleagues to go about the daily business with the minimum of disruption and to assist them in achieving key business performance indicators. Our teams provides support to more than 120 account holders over a wide area network covering 12 sites. I have a great deal of experience working with 3rd party maintenance and specialist services providers ensuring the highest standard of service, managing budgets and obtaining best value for money.

I enjoy challenging project management tasks, the most recent example of which was planning and managing the relocation of over 80 staff to a new head office and introducing of a host of new office technologies.
