About Me

I have spent the majority of the past 4 years working in Hong Kong in an events and operations management capacity, as well as new business development manager. The team that I worked with at PopTV Arena was only small, which meant that my duties covered every facet from marketing and advertising, to creating AutoCAD plans for the HKPD, HKFD and the government. In terms of running the events, I was the Western face of the venue especially when we were working with Western acts, such as Kanye West, Duran Duran, BMW, Coach, Diesel.

I was the first port of call for clients on the build up to the events, as well as the actual day(s) of the event. As a result, long hours don’t phase me, and I am completely aware that this is all part of the events management experience!

I am looking for a forward facing organization that will challenge me and offer the opportunities to develop my event management skills, as well developing me as an individual. The time that I spent in Hong Kong has been a key reason to my development, I am a firm believe that you do not truly know who you are, until you find out what you are not. Living in a foreign country, initially not being able to speak any of the language empowered me to become more confident and it offered me an additional challenge to overcome. I did relish the opportunity to work overseas, but I am looking for a position back in the UK now, and this role looks like it could fit me very well.
