About Me

I have worked within the IT field for 23 years, concentrating on extending my technical skills before moving into IT project management. I have wide experience in many software&hardware platforms, including VMS, Oracle, Sybase, Windows 2000/XP/2003, Unix&Novell. Also I have been involved in developing E-Commerce strategies, specifically focusing on VPNs, Extranet&Internet technology. This has provided me with a solid foundation on which to build my IT and project management skills enabling me to explain and present complex, technical solutions to a non-technical audience and provide hands-on support to my team. I have gained considerable experience in project management and implementation, in high profile organisations, such as Accenture, Nokia, Allen&Overy, Investec and Network Rail where cost×cales have been paramount and successful achievement key to the organisation.Specifically, as a project manager, I have been responsible for building critical business and client relationships, in a pressured, commercial environment, which included production of documentation&deliverables, problem solving&reporting, resource management&team development.Thus far, my career has encompassed management consulting, investment banking, telecoms and public sector experience and as a result has allowed me to develop wide-ranging technical&business facing capabilities.I am very business focused and would like to use my creative abilities in a different type of role which will challenge me.
